Abstract

Based upon the thermodynamic calculations of a 200MW coal - fired utility boiler

factors such as coal ash

flue gas excess air level and air leakage rates in furnace

coal milling system as well as tail-heating surface

on the boiler effective nes s are analyzed. The significance of these factors in evaluating the boiler economical operation is presented.
