Performance analysis on a combined cooling, heating and power system for waste heat recovery of internal combustion engine
Abstract
Based on the characteristics of internal combustion engine exhaust gas
a novel combined cooling
heating and power(CCHP) system is constructed to further recover the exhaust heat and achieve the purpose of energy saving and emission reduction. The CCHP system consists of a simple regenerative supercritical carbon dioxide(S-CO_2) Brayton cycle
an ejective refrigeration cycle and a hot water heat exchanger. The thermodynamic model of the proposed system is established to evaluate the system performance
and a comparative analysis is conducted between the single S-CO_2 cycle and the proposed CCHP system. In addition
parametric analysis is conducted to investigate the effects of three important operating parameters
including the compressor outlet pressure
turbine 1 inlet temperature and refrigeration evaporation temperature
on the system performance. Finally
multi-objective optimization is performed for the system when it generates the maximum cooling and power(CCP model) or simultaneously produces the maximum heat and power(CHP model). The results show that
in the CCP model
the sum of the system net output power
cooling capacity and heating capacity is 546.87 kW
the thermal efficiency and exergy efficiency of the system are 45.81% and 50.55%
